Natalie's career in the wine industry began in 1994 learning the methods of pruning and tying. Knowing the wine industry was her future, she accepted a front-line position at Vineland Estates where she was able to apply her formal schooling in marketing and sales.
In the summer of 1997, she joined Strewn Winery as Cellar Assistant, where she eventually worked her way up to Assistant Winemaker. During this time, Natalie completed the Sommelier program at George Brown College in Toronto and the World of Wine course at Niagara College.
In 1999, her focus moved to something far more fulfilling - her own business. She saw the need to do wine analysis and winemaking consultations for wineries, and began Vines to Vintages Inc. The company now works with over 40 wineries in Canada and the United States.
In 2000, she became Winemaker at Angels Gate Winery, and then began with Rosewood Winery as Winemaker and Meadmaker in 2006.
During her 7 vintages at Rosewood, hundreds of awards were garnered both Internationally and locally. Some of which were Best Gewurztraminer & Riesling - Cuvee, 2 Time Winner Best Pinot Noir - Canadian Wine Awards (Wine Access), Best Merlot & Best Riesling - Decanter International Competition, 2 Time Winner Top 25 Winery in Canada.
Natalie travels globally, continuing her quest for knowledge and ways to improve her award winning wines. Currently, she's consulting and making wine for wineries in Beamsville, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Planters Ridge here in Nova Scotia.
